The Parks and Recreation Board as outlined in Charter Section 13.01 shall have general policy-making, planning, and administrative power over all municipal parks, subject to the provisions of this Charter and appropriations of Council.
The Board shall accept financial and land donations, subject to the approval of the majority of members elected or appointed to Council, and promulgate rules, regulations, and policies, which shall be subject to the approval of the majority of members elected or appointed to Council.
The Board shall also consult with the Planning Commission on all matters of mutual interest; and have such other powers and duties as may be conferred upon it by Council.
Selection and Terms
The Parks and Recreation Board consists of five residents of the Village not holding other municipal office or employment to be appointed, for staggered terms of five years, or removed by the Mayor subject to confirmation by the affirmative vote of a majority of the members elected or appointed to Council.
