Community Events

Residents can enjoy many events in the Village throughout the year including Summer Concerts on The Green, Fall Fest, Community Easter Egg Hunt, and Community Weekend. The Village of Richfield Parks & Recreation Department offers a large variety of programs for all age groups and rentals on facilities located within the Village. The Service Department manages Trash/Recycling services, brush pick-up, leaf pick-up, mulch pick-up, snow plowing, dead animal pick-up, sanitary sewers, utilities, and cemeteries.

Parks and Recreation

The Village of Richfield Parks and Recreation offers two halls and four pavilions for the public to rent. Facilities are open for booking one year in advance to the day. The department also offers multiple recreation classes and programs throughout the year, Summer Camp, Broadview Heights Recreation vouchers, recreation facilities, more!

Economic Development

There isn’t a community better situated geographically than the Village of Richfield with immediate access to Interstate 271, 77 and the Ohio Turnpike. This strategic location in the region offers businesses great access to the labor markets of adjoining suburbs and the cities of Cleveland and Akron.  Richfield is home to many large companies such as National Interstate Insurance, Charles Schwab Corporate Services, Snap-on Business Solutions, Winar Connection and many others. The Village is designated as a Job Hub by Summit County, the Fund for Our Economic Future and TeamNEO because of the high concentration of traded-sector jobs and alignment with local development patterns. Planning and Zoning

The Planning and Zoning Department manages the Village’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan, as well as the Planning and Zoning Code. The department consists of three divisions: planning, zoning, and economic development. Planning staff interfaces with the Planning Commission and serves as their staff liaison to provide assistance regarding development applications, conditional zoning certificates, signage requests and overall management of the planning process. Zoning staff interfaces with the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) and serves as their staff liaison to provide technical assistance related to dimensional and use variances requests, as well as zoning code interpretations. Finally, enforcement of all zoning and property maintenance codes are handled by the Planning and Zoning Department.

Senior Center

The Village of Richfield Senior Center is for anyone 55 or older. They offer many activities such as Coffee and Conversation, yoga, line dancing, games, Fun Bus Trips, lunch, their own band and special event parties! Stop by anytime Monday through Friday between 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM.

Village Hall Bins

The Village offers multiple bins for residents to drop off certain items. All bins are located behind Village Hall.

Flag Retirement Drop Box

Richfield Village Hall has a flag retirement drop box where flags can be dropped off and they will be destroyed in the proper manner. Thank you to Boy Scout Troop 387 and AMVETS post 176 for painting and installing the flag drop box. Flags can be dropped off at any time in the rear parking lot behind Richfield Village Hall.

Unused Medications Disposal Box

Located in the main lobby of the Richfield Police Department (4450 W. Streetsboro Road). Please click here for instructions and to find out what is allowed/not allowed. 

Village Council

Meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month and usually at 6:30 pm (be sure to check agenda for specific time). Meetings are held in the Village Chambers, located at Village Hall.

Revere Local School District

Revere Local School District is located in northeastern Ohio between the cities of Akron and Cleveland. It was formed in the early 1950's after the communities of Bath and Richfield voted to combine their two smaller school systems. The consolidation was approved and the new district was named the Revere Local School District.
